Angela’s dedicated career in the field of occupational health and safety began in 2005 as a Safety Advisor for a Pipeline and Facilities Construction and Maintenance Company.  Having spent 5 years as an emergency medical dispatcher, the move from reactive to preventative was both challenging and rewarding.  Experiencing workplace incidents and accidents from an emergency medical responder’s point of view assures her passion for educating workers and assisting employers to create positive safety cultures.

 

Angela achieved the National Construction Safety Officer designation in 2008 when she became certified as a Peer Health and Safety Auditor with the Alberta Construction Safety Association.  That same year she completed the Enform Certified Health and Safety Auditor Program and completed several internal maintenance audits for various companies owned by her employer. 

 

In 2009 Angela successfully completed a Health, Safety & Environmental Processes Certificate Program with the University of New Brunswick, and shortly after became certified as an external auditor with Enform.  Since that time, Angela has completed more than 140 Certificate of Recognition Health and Safety Audits utilizing the Enform audit protocol. 

 

In addition to performing health and safety audits, Angela provides expertise in the field of Occupational Health and Safety developing and implemented Health and Safety Management Programs with a focus on incident and accident prevention.  During the period of 2013 – 2016, Angela was a contract instructor for Northern Lakes College developing and delivering a health and safety curriculum to students in the Oilfield Operator Training Program.
